~ THE DUCK POND ~

I have some really nice memories of this duck pond ~ my grandparents used to take us kids to walk around in the shade of the trees and feed the ducks. Today I took my kids to this same duck pond ~ it was a very hot & muggy day (hotter than I thought), which made it a quick visit with the ducks; but it was still really nice, sort of . . .
Anthony took a few photos with my camera which "sort of" captured our time with the ducks...

I say "sort of " because no one seemed to get the photos of the ducks following us and then, sort of chasing us. No one got the photos of Mia crying as the ducks circled her pocketbook which fell to the ground (as we were sort of being chased). Nope, those pictures are in our memories ~ as Mia was crying about her pocketbook, Anthony was being surrounded by some beasts, I mean ducks and he basically threw all the bread and ran! He wanted to know why I didn't come to his resuce, but I had Mia crying and Eddie running ~ a nice couple retrieved Mia pocketbook ~ but the damage was done. Mia did not want to be put down ~ I had to pry her off me and distract her with the ducks swimming in the pond.

Things calmed down and we were able to enjoy the scenery and yes, even the cute ducks!

Happy to have her pocketbook, but oh so hot!

"Quack!"
Maybe next time we'll bring daddy!

The pictures are great and don't capture the terror you all endured lol! So glad Mia got her pocket pook back! She looks precious in that dress. Tell Anthony I will come and protect him next time! BTW I can protect him from the ducks better then I can in the pool (being the great swimmer I am) LOL!!!!
