NI HAO FROM GUANGZHOU!

This is the face of a tired mommy ~ on a late night flight from Nanning to Guangzhou, which was only an hour - but an hour of swirming, flipping and flopping by Miss Mia!! I hope this isn't an indication of how the 13 1/2 hour flight will be!!

We had the babies medical exams today; which was interesting to say the least. Peeking in the babys ears and mouth...squeaking a toy to see if they turn their head - just weird! Mia was angry to say the least and screamed, jumped and wailed her arms all over ~ the doctors eyes were bugging out to see how this little woman has such power!!

Mommy and Mia wait for our turn for visa picture

Guangzhou is so pretty and scenic!

Love my girl!

Screaming Mia before the exam!

"Mommy!"

"Get her away from meeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!"

All done!

In the White Swan Hotel they have a toy room sponsored by Mattel toys. We went in to play a little with the girls before dinner:

Mia loved Elmo !

She dragged these animals all over the room!

We had fun and Mia loves walking all over!

Miss Mia

This picture is for my friends and family back home: this is a squatty potty; which we see all over China. It is very hard to find a western style toilet these days ~ it is gross and it is hard to use!!

****Anthony and Eddie - we miss you tooooooooooooooooo much!!! I love hearing your voices and cannot wait to hug and squeeze and kiss you both!!! I am so proud of how well you are doing in school and of how well you are behaving!! Enjoy your weekend guys - well talk to you tomorrow!!!!!!! Love youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!

Poor Mia during her exam. Thank God she has you JO. Love all the pictures, even the screaming and tired ones. As for that squatty potty, UGGGGGGH.
Your trip is past the halfway mark and before you know it you will be home with the boys and Mia together.

Love
Lisa

I just love the photos of you and Mia! You fit together perfectly!!! I should have prepared you for the "medical exam" but hopefully it was over quickly. Are you enjoying Shamian Island??? Make sure you visit the little dress shop (the name is escaping me right now) that is down the street from the Medical office. Walk up any street to the river. Make a right. Go past the Victory and it is on your right. Only a few more days. Enjoy this time bonding with Mia and shopping. Soon you will be home as a forever family!!
Lots of Love, Michelle

Hi Joanne - you look soooo tired! Hang in there, you will be home soon. Think of the plane ride home like labor...it will be a long rough ride, but sooo worth it after you have that little angel home :-). Hailey "the spy" said that Eddie had a good first day. She said there were no tears and he was playing in class! (Probably good that he got used to school without you here :-))! Can't wait to see you guys - I want to eat her up!!! See you soon, Trish

Jo,
The pictures of you and Mia- say it all! There are no words to express- how amazing that bond you (and Ed) have formed with Mia (in such a short period of time), well it's pretty incrediable. It brings HAPPY tears to my eyes. You were always meant to be together as a family and it shows!
Hang in there.. the days of the Squatty Potty are almost OVER!!
See you in a couple of days (yeah!)
Love you. XOXO

This part of your journey is almost over, and you have your lovely MIA! I'm so glad to have been able to follow you through this blog, and the wonderful photos which say it all. The love comes through strong. You'll be home soon, where you'll begin the next chapter together as a family. I just wish I could be there to greet you and see Mia as you arrive home!
love you,
Miriam
PS: I remember the squatty potty! Some of the bistros in France had them, even nice places! Never saw a residence with one, though. I feel for you!
