CARE PACKAGE, A GOOD CRY & HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!

Anthony and I packed up some goodies to send Mia yesterday. As you can see, we had a photo shoot in the middle of the post office.

I enlarged her chinese name to put on the package, so there was no mistaken who this is for. I found chinese symbols for "We" and "LOVE" and "YOU" and put them all over the package. We also taped her picture to the inside of the box!

I didn't realize how emotional this was until we stepped up to the counter and I started talking to the post-woman ~ I lost it! Poor Anthony kept saying, "mommy, please stop crying", but the tears just rolled down my cheeks.
This package was actually going to MY Mia, MY daughter ~ it is as close to her as I can get at this time. I finally calmed down, but even as I write this I am tearing up!?

I hope everyone has a very happy and safe 4th of July!!

That post made me teary eyed too! It IS unbelievably heartwrenching to wonder about your baby, and pray that through your package she will feel your love.

That post is sweet. I can only imagine the day that I have that sort of contact with my daughter. Very sweet and one day she will know how much you loved her long before you mailed that package to her!

I cried too reading this. I remember it like yesterday sending Kate's package. We got the camera back (with great photos) but nothing else. I think the foster Mom kept the photo album to remember who Her little one went home with.

Mia will be with you before you know it!

I teared up reading and seeing this - you are right, this is as close as it gets for now, but not for long! Kayla is on my lap as I read/write this - she said "That my cousin!" (Anthony)"That toys!" "for your new cousin named Mia", I said. She repeated happily,
"New cousin named Mia!" then she said, "Where's my cousin?" So sweet...we all can't wait!
Love, Miriam
